The two French girls Cyrielle and Marine met while travelling in Indonesia and both fell in love with the Indonesian people, culture and the traditional Batik fabric and method. This is how Ada Perlu was born, the only label that presents a modern version of the traditional Batik. The designs are designed in France and then made in Bali, after which they are shipped in traditional Balinese boxes made of natural material, reusable and biodegradable. The labels are printed on recycled paper. All the leftover material from the designs is used to make new products. No polyester is used, only natural materials. The materials used by Ada Perlu are Standard 100 Oekotex certified, so free from toxic chemicals. The collections are made under ethical conditions in workshops with local people in Bali and Ada Perlu uses digital printing as conventional printing uses a lot of toxic chemicals. To give something back to nature, Ada Perlu plants trees near the Citarum River, Badung, Bali.
