Espero is a German clothing brand that makes basics with a nice print with the aim of helping protected species and protecting nature. A large part of Espero's proceeds go to charities.
Fair trade: The clothing is produced in Bangladesh and is made in a factory monitored by the Fair Wear Foundation. The Fair Wear Foundation has rated this supplier with a score of 80 out of 100, which is a very nice score that implies good working condition. Improvement is, of course, always possible and the Fair Wear Foundation advises the supplier how to further improve. The full report of the audit they carried out in 2020 can be found here.
Environmentally friendly: the clothing is made from organic cotton and some items contain a small amount of recycled polyester.
Vegan: the clothing is completely vegan and has the PETA-approved vegan certification.
Good cause: 25% of the proceeds of Espero will be donated to the conservation of nature and protected animal species. They support locations and causes such as Drakenstein Lion Park, Virunga National Park, the Kindred Spirit Elephant Sanctuary, Helping Rhinos and Saving The Survivors.
