SISSEL EDELBO is a brand with upcycling in their DNA. This brand was started by two Danish women who had a love for India and the sari's that many women there wear (a traditional Indian clothing item). They decided to transform these beautiful saris into a garment that fits well with the European style. All garments from SISSEL EDELBO are made from Indian sari's that have been purchased second-hand. They are all upcycled and therefore, all items of clothing are a little different.
The clothing is produced in India in a factory where they have been producing for 12 years. The factory is visited very often, so SISSEL EDELBO can guarantee that people get paid fair wages. They have 8-hour working days with an hour-long lunch break. They see the people in the factory as a family and find it very important that they are treated well.
Together we can make a difference! Subscribe to the newsletter to stay up to date about fair and sustainable fashion. We plant a tree for every subscription! 🌳
