Short description

our tee made from the finest bamboo jersey comes in a tight fight (TF) and a loose fit (LF). bamboo has

anti-bacterial properties, so you can sweat in our tees without any odor. we prefer bamboo

over eco-cotton because the cultivation uses less water, regeneration is faster and it can be grown

on rugged terrain not suitable for any other crop.

About the brand

Arctic seas is the sustainable swimwear label from Franky Cleas, the founder and designer of the brand. Franky was convinced that style and sustainability don't have to be at odds. This is why he produces luxury designer swimwear. Every capsule that arctic seas creates is inspired by an environmental story. Such as the plastic ocean collection. This collection is made from recycled plastic from ocean clean-up projects, and the print on the swimwear is inspired by sea trash. Every capsule from arctic seas combines the story of the materials, and the environmental problem, with the design, creating beautiful and unique pieces.

Fair trade: All the items from arctic seas are produced in Portugal, in a factory that they have visited and are in regular contact with. The working conditions in this factory are good, and the people earn fair wages. The materials that arctic seas uses are mostly sourced from Europe.

Environmentally friendly: Arctic seas uses sustainable materials. They use Econyl, Seaqual, bamboo, linen, fish leather and Corozo (for the buttons). Econyl is made from recycled nylon, mostly made from old fishing gear and carpets. The material is made in Italy and is Oekotex 100 certified, so free from harmful chemicals. Seaqual is a material made from recycled plastic collected from ocean clean-up. The material is produced in Spain is GRS certified and also Oekotex certified, ensuring high environmental and social standards for the production. The bamboo comes from FSC-certified forests in China, where they practise responsible forest management. The linen is ethically produced in Greece, and Corozo is a sustainable material made from a palm tree seed, Corozo is also Oekotex 100 certified.

Locally produced: Everything is produced in Portugal, and most of the materials are sourced from Europe.

Vegan: Almost the whole collection is vegan, except for the flip-flops since there is a small fish leather detail.
