Fairly made in China
Since 2008 we have been working with our GOTS certified factory in China. There is a friendship between Claudia Lanius and the owner of the factory, Aichin. As a true pioneer in many respects, she has integrated anthroposophical thinking into her Chinese production. Proximity to the raw materials and outstanding quality of the production site have convinced us on our personal visits for decades - together we prove that „Made in China“ can be done differently.
TENCEL™ Lyocell & organic cotton
A valued blend: organic cotton and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres. TENCEL™ Lyocell is obtained from wood from sustainable forestry, which we source from the LENZING company in Austria. Our organic cotton comes from controlled organic cultivation and neither chemical fertilisers, pesticides nor genetic engineering are used here.

100% climate neutralized

This item is completely CO₂-neutralized. Together with the experts from ClimatePartner, we determine the CO₂ emissions caused during production and offset them by supporting a carbon offset project.

Organic Content Standard Blended

This garment is OCS certified. The Organic Content Standard - Organic Blended award assures that the item is made of at least 5% natural fibers of controlled organic origin.

About the brand

Lanius is a brand founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius with a clear vision to bring ecological materials and fair working conditions together to create beautiful feminine items. Lanius stands for LOVE FASHION / THINK ORGANIC / BE RESPONSIBLE and you can see that in their clothing.

Fair Trade: Lanius works only with facilities where they can guarantee fair production. They have a close relationship with all of them, and most of their suppliers are GOTS certified. They are very transparent and have a page dedicated to all their suppliers on their website, so you can see who made your clothing.

Environmentally Friendly: The clothes are made from GOTS certified organic cotton grown in an eco-friendly manner, organic and mulesing-free wool and ECONYL ® 100% regenerated nylon yarn made from recycled fishing nets. They also use other sustainable materials and have a page dedicated to all their materials on their website if you want to learn other eco-friendly materials.

Good Cause: On international women’s day Lanius donates 10% of all daily takings to the organization FEMNET.
