The Uma Crossbody Bag is handcrafted from repurposed denim and surplus jacquard, which has been skillfully handwoven in a contemporary weave, with circularity considered at every stage of its development.
Creating from waste, instead of producing it, requires an entirely different approach, that contributes to our mission and positive impact as a responsible business.
Lined in durable cotton drill, with a zipper closure ensuring your belongings are kept safe, it comes with a matching denim strap that can be detached from the bag so it can also be used as a clutch bag. Made in communities, not factories, this supports the regeneration of skills within the villages the craft’s originate from.
Every bag comes with its own unique code, which connects you to the artisan who handcrafted it for you. Handmade in Bali.

Circularity, longevity and innovation drive the design of every one-of-a-kind creation at Fanfare Label and our award-winning collections are the go-to for those seeking seasonless, contemporary clothing.
Fanfare Repurposed
Our Fanfare Repurposed collection rescues textiles that would have been deemed waste and destined for landfills. We recycle, repurpose and redesign these pieces and transform them into style-led statement jeans you’ll wear for life.
Sustainably Created
Our Sustainably Created collection is made slowly from certified sustainable fabrics. We consciously choose our materials to ensure that each limited edition piece has an infinite life cycle and inspires a buy-to-last mindset.
Both collections are ethically made in the UK.
Ethics & sustainability are the pillars of the business. Fanfare Label pieces are made in ethical factories from organic & recycled materials. Even down to every thread, fibre & trim sustainability is considered, sustainability is a journey, and the brand is always looking for ways to improve.
When you buy one of our considered pieces you are part of the Fanfare family & are joining us working on a solution.
According to Fanfare the Label, we can use clothing to emphasize change, fairness and freedom. The label makes unique garments by combining old and new textiles.
Fair trade: the clothing is made in various workshops locally in the UK. The workshops are small family workshops run by women. Fanfare regularly visits these locations and has a good relationship with the makers and suppliers.
Environmentally friendly: Fanfare works with organic or recycled materials. For example, they use GOTS certified cotton from India and ethically produced linen with Oeko-Tex certificate from Belgium. In addition, they give new life to textiles from landfills in the UK by recycling them. The clothing is packaged in recycled paper and shipped in biodegradable material.
Locally produced: the collections are made within Europe, in the UK. Most of the materials also come from Europe.
Good cause: Fanfare the Label donates twice a year to A21 campaign and International Justice Mission, organizations that fight modern slavery in the clothing industry.
