About the brand

ROVE is a beautiful knitwear brand founded by Rose Brown in 2013. Rose wanted to create quality, long-lasting knitwear manufactured in Britain using British spun wool. Now, the brand has evolved to a modern, and sustainable brand. They keep the impact of the clothing low by offering organic, natural, recycled, or biodegradable materials. ROVE is a real slow fashion brand that makes unique designs that you can enjoy for years.

Fair trade: The clothing and accessories from ROVE are all made in the UK, and the wool is also spun in the UK. The wool fleece comes from South Africa and Australia, is spun in Yorkshire, and is made into beautiful items in several factories in the UK. Most of their accessories are made in Manchester, in a factory that is audited by SMETA, to ensure good working conditions. The socks are made in Derbyshire in a hosiers factory that has been running for over a 100 years.

ROVE also works with some smaller factories, and freelance knitters. They visit all the factories before autumn for the new collections and can ensure good working conditions.

Environmentally friendly: Rove uses wool, GOTS certified organic cotton, and deadstock for their products. The wool is mulesing free, Oekotex 100 certified (free from harmful chemicals), and the wool from Australia is RWS certified, ensuring animal welfare.

Rove uses environmentally friendly dyes that are GOTS certified. The brand offers a repair service and also has a recycling program, so that you can send back your worn knitwear for a 10% discount. The products are shipped in grass paper mailers, which is more sustainable than paper from trees. It is also recyclable and composes much faster than normal paper.

Locally produced: The products are made in the UK and the material is also spun in the UK.

Good cause: ROVE supports several charities, such as the Family Food Bank, Crisis UK, and they are joining 1% for the planet. They also plant trees via Colourful Margate.
