A LANIUS classic: the knee-hugging wool skirt, made in Europe, with high-quality boiled wool fabric from Austria. The puristic look captivates with its clear shape and intense colour. The minimalist silhouette of the slightly flared wool skirt is accentuated by the feel of the organic virgin wool. A dividing seam in the front visually stretches the silhouette. The particularly durable yarn is low-pilling and creates a pleasantly warm feel.

Fairly made in Portugal
In this Portuguese family business, the mother herself still checks the finished pieces. 120 people are employed there. The company with its modern machinery has been GOTS certified since 2021. The attention to detail and professionalism are reason enough for us to produce our garments here since 2015.

We love the natural properties of wool: temperature-balancing, windproof and warming - and yet hard-wearing and self-cleaning. For the guaranteed well-being of the animals, we only use mulesing-free wool, which is obtained by carefully shearing the soft fur of sheep from certified organic livestock.

About the brand

Lanius is a brand founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius with a clear vision to bring ecological materials and fair working conditions together to create beautiful feminine items. Lanius stands for LOVE FASHION / THINK ORGANIC / BE RESPONSIBLE and you can see that in their clothing.

Fair Trade: Lanius works only with facilities where they can guarantee fair production. They have a close relationship with all of them, and most of their suppliers are GOTS certified. They are very transparent and have a page dedicated to all their suppliers on their website, so you can see who made your clothing.

Environmentally Friendly: The clothes are made from GOTS certified organic cotton grown in an eco-friendly manner, organic and mulesing-free wool and ECONYL ® 100% regenerated nylon yarn made from recycled fishing nets. They also use other sustainable materials and have a page dedicated to all their materials on their website if you want to learn other eco-friendly materials.

Good Cause: On international women’s day Lanius donates 10% of all daily takings to the organization FEMNET.
