This washing soda is a natural cleaning agent, made from sodium carbonate, which is extracted from plants and seaweed.
What is Washing Soda?Washing soda washes everything that could use a polish and is also one hundred percent natural. An indispensable household tool for every family.
Washing soda (sodium carbonate), not to be confused with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), is extracted from the ashes of plants and seaweed. It is also found at the bottom of temporary lakes, which fade away as soon as it becomes too dry. A product made by nature and therefore also environmentally friendly, unlike regular cleaning products.
AdvantagesWashing soda is a hugely versatile household tool. It will make your laundry extra clean, your oven will look like new again, it will help prevent clogging and your silverware will shine like never before.
Sodium carbonate (washing soda) softens water and therefore makes it easier for dirt to come loose. Below, we’ll tell you how to use laundry soda.
What can you do with it?Berry juice, blood, ink, tea, coffee… Is your laundry very dirty? Soak it for 2 hours (or overnight) in a bucket of warm water with 100 grams of washing soda. Then put it in the washing machine as usual.
Your oven may seem impossible to clean, but with washing soda, even this task becomes a breeze. Fill a bucket with 4 liters of hot water and add a coffee cup of washing soda. Sponge it off, that oven!
Washing soda is also ideal for preventing toilet blockages. Sprinkle some washing soda in the toilet and flush immediately. This way, you can keep the toilet and pipes clean for longer.
Soak your silver jewelry and cutlery in 4 liters of warm water with a cup of laundry soda for fifteen minutes. Then rinse everything well with cold water and rub with a microfiber cloth.
Did you know this about washing soda?Washing soda occurs in nature and consists of the chemical compound referred to as Na2CO3. Sounds complicated, but it means that washing soda is a salt of carbonic acid, a substance that creates many types of salt that are all referred to as ‘carbonate’.
