Our knitwear made from carded yarn has been produced in the EU since 2023 - by our specialist in Romania. The 700-strong company is GOTS- and GRS-certified, BSCI-audited and has been in existence since 1970. The roots of the company lie in Italy. Here, our passion for knitwear and our focus on animal welfare are equally respected.

The Wool is obtained from the soft fur of the merino sheep from controlled organic animal husbandry. Merino wool is particularly cosy and breathable. Unlike conventionally kept sheep, the animals have enough space to graze, can graze on nutrient-rich soil and are not subjected to the cruel practice of mulesing.

About the brand

Lanius is a brand founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius with a clear vision to bring ecological materials and fair working conditions together to create beautiful feminine items. Lanius stands for LOVE FASHION / THINK ORGANIC / BE RESPONSIBLE and you can see that in their clothing.

Fair Trade: Lanius works only with facilities where they can guarantee fair production. They have a close relationship with all of them, and most of their suppliers are GOTS certified. They are very transparent and have a page dedicated to all their suppliers on their website, so you can see who made your clothing.

Environmentally Friendly: The clothes are made from GOTS certified organic cotton grown in an eco-friendly manner, organic and mulesing-free wool and ECONYL ® 100% regenerated nylon yarn made from recycled fishing nets. They also use other sustainable materials and have a page dedicated to all their materials on their website if you want to learn other eco-friendly materials.
