The journey of Ôde started in 2015 in a small studio in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Parisian, Sihame Lucio, founded Ôde to focus on women's self-care and to celebrate women diversity and inclusion. Each piece has been consciously thought, designed and crafted. Comfort, aesthetics, protection and sustainability are the main priorities. All lace is from family lacemakers in Calais-Caudry and Lyon, France. They have a real know-how in this for centuries, resulting in high-quality lace that can last for years. The material is Oeko-Tex 100 certified, which means it is free from toxic substances. The collections are produced in a small family atelier in Latvia that meets the quality and ethical standards of Ôde. This atelier is visited two times per year. The brand tries to print as little as possible, but if printing is happening, this is done with a Dutch printing company that uses only recycled paper. Finally, the packaging consists of a pouch made of Fairtrade Certified cotton.
